We Have Moved!!!

As of July 2009, our location has changed from our home state of New Jersey to North Carolina! My husband was offered a position at his company's Winston Salem facility and we jumped at the chance to live a more comfortable lifestyle and offer more to our family's future. We are still settling in a month later, but I am available to take orders.

Don't let the distance scare you!!! The design process has usually been a telephone/email deal, so there isn't much change there. I have always offered my services through national outlets such as Ebay and Etsy, and have often mailed finished products across the country. So whether you are around the corner or from my old "stomping grounds" I will be happy to communicate, create, and coordinate the details of your event needs.

Babies are a Gift from God

As you know, I recently became a mother. Our son is such a precious gift to us and our family. We will be honoring our faith by baptizing him in the church we were married in. Of course my mind started working right away toward a simple and elegant card to invite our closest family and friends to join in our celebration. (I will unveil that design once we have mailed them out ;) )

While working on our son's invitations, I took a nostalgic moment to browse through some of the cards I have created for this type of occasion in the past. Here are some of my favorites.

Thank you to Sandy, Marissa, and Migdalia for allowing me to work with you on your children's invitations.

Cherry Blossom

This time last year, I was working with my good friends Ruth and Jorge on their wedding details. I had just completed their pocketfold invitations, adorned with subtle Cherry Blossom branches, pale pink and chocolate brown. I went on to create many other emebellishments for their special day, and was lucky enough to enjoy them personally as a reader at their beautiful ceremony and a guest at their exquisite reception. Ruth and Jorge are very special friends and I was glad to help make their day one that none of us will forget anytime soon!

Afterward, Ruth sent me the sweetest words of gratitude:

"We are so lucky to have such a talented friend like you. Our wedding would not have been nearly as beautiful if it wasn't for all of your work. Our invitations are still getting raves from everyone who received them; our unity candles were gorgeous and will be displayed in our home; our programs, petal cones, votives, table numbers, menus, candy jar labels, and camera stickers made our ceremony and reception so much more than we ever dreamed of. The personal touches you add to your work make your products more meaningful and sincere.

We thank you so much for being there for us every step of our planning process and for making our dream wedding come true. You were our first and only choice when it came to helping us plan our wedding and creating our beautiful event details and you will undoubtedly be our first choice when it comes to our most important future occasions.

With all our love and gratitude,

Ruth and Jorge

A New Beginning

For me, today is one of many special days to come. I recently became a stay at home Mom. Although it truly is the most rewarding career, I still love expressing myself through my passion: custom event design. In the coming year, I hope to gain the skills necessary to take this endeavor to the next level. I hope you will join me in my journey, and enjoy yourself along the way.

This blog will showcase my current projects and design ideas. A place for me to experiment with new techniques and styles. A forum for review, critique, and appreciation. It will also, serve as a place for my friends (new-meaning recent and future clients, and old-meaning those I hold dearest to my heart) to forever see the special creations that we worked on together. Details that set their events apart from the rest and personalized very precious moments in time for them.

There will be good times and difficult times ahead. But I am willing to endure it all in order to contribute to my household in a way that finally utilizes the creativity I have had bottled up for so long.
